Built in brick

For our new brick fireplaces we mostly use locally sourced, original reclaimed clay bricks, set in place with lime mortar.

Visible brickwork has always mattered in a fireplace, most of all in inglenooks and large fireplaces, where it is part of the chimney structure itself.

Brick fireplaces with the brickwork on show have been popular since the colonial era, and they still are. With the colors and materials that modern brick comes in, the design possibilities are almost limitless.
