Chimney inspections
Soot and debris build up in a fireplace and chimney over time. That hurts how it performs and, at worst, it is a fire hazard.
Buying, selling or renovating?
A full inspection of the fireplace and chimney is a wise investment. Typical home inspectors often leave these out, and protect themselves with escape clauses.
We go further. We work out what your chimney needs, and what it will cost, for it to meet safety codes and standards. You get good value and good advice.
Choose an inspector who can go to Level 2 or 3
It pays to choose an inspector with the higher level of certification, who can carry out a Level 2 or Level 3 chimney inspection if one is needed. An inspector without it has to call in someone else. That means delays and extra cost, because the second inspector has to inspect the chimney all over again.
And one who can do the repairs
We're often asked to quote for repairs that another inspector recommended. We can't rely on their assessment alone, so we have to do our own inspection to be sure nothing was missed. Having one contractor inspect and repair saves you time and money.
Found on an inspection
“We were very pleased with the work that was done by this team. Initially I thought that I only needed a chimney cap installed, but after a careful inspection of my chimney, it was found that a crumbling and deteriorating lining of my chimney interior wall had occurred leaving a potentially dangerous situation in my house. I was actually shown the damage so I could determine for myself the extent of the problem.”
Are your chimney's insides clean?
A clean, safe chimney lets you enjoy your fireplace without worrying.
