Chimney repointing

Can you see cracks in your chimney? Repointing puts them right before they get worse.

Why a chimney needs repointing

Weather and age weaken the mortar joints in a chimney. The bricks lose their bond, and then they start to break.

A cracked, leaky, flaking or crumbling chimney doesn't work properly, and it isn't safe. Left alone it can be damaged beyond repair. Then it needs expensive work, or a complete rebuild.

What repointing is

We take out some of the old mortar and put in a new layer to strengthen the joints. It deals with minor damage and makes the chimney last longer.

If your chimney is showing wear, have it seen to promptly. It keeps the chimney sound and your family safe.
